  • Itchy or Dry Skin
  • Itchy or sore eyes

    • What can I expect from a Superdrug Allergy Test?

      Step 1
You will be asked to complete a “Clinical History Form”. This looks at personal history of significant illness, family history of allergy, significant factors relating to home and work environment etc. NB In a few cases the clinical history may highlight that a test may not be suitable or available. (e.g. food intolerance or venom/drug reactions)

      Step 2
Using a simple finger prick blood test, we can measure your response to the most common airborne allergens responsible for allergic disease. Results are available in just 20 minutes

      These allergens include:

      • Cat dander
      • Mugwort
      • Dog dander
      • Olive Pollen
      • Birch
      • House Dust Mite
      • Timothy Grass
      • Cockroach
      • Wall Pellitory (Plant which is a member of the nettle family.)
      • Mould

      Step 3
The results of the test will either confirm or refute a diagnosis of allergy. Our highly trained staff* will be able to discuss the results with you and offer advice on how to improve quality of life by improving and in many cases abolishing symptoms through avoidance advice. They will also be able to give advice on the correct use of medication when needed.

Superdrug Health Promotion Nurses have been trained in conjunction with Allergy UK and participating Superdrug Pharmacists have all undergone a training course accredited by the College of Pharmacy Practice.
